Did I leave my ground beef wellington out too long, or is it safe to eat?

I made a ground beef wellington last night, which I took out of the oven at about 10:50pm. I had read (apparently incorrectly) that you should let food cool fully before putting in the fridge to avoid bacterial growth, but by 12:30am it was still pretty warm and I was too tired, so I just cut it up, put pieces in tupperware covered with plastic wrap and put it into the fridge. Now I read that it should have gone into the fridge much sooner. Is it still safe to reheat and eat? I *really* don't want to get food poisoning.
