Strange Period ???? whats wrong?

Hi i am 19 and just moved out of my moms house and i work fulltime and go to school in the evenings. Recently I had sex with a guy I know and we didnt use any protection. I have'nt been on BirthControl In about 7 months and now I am scared because about 6 days ago I started having brown discharge and now its just light bleeding. I dont know if i am pregnant and I am scared to find out. Does anyone have this same problem with there period. Just need some answers before I tell my family and my friend I am not ready for a baby and not with this guy anyways. ( help me )
